5 Motivational Books That Will Change Your Life!

Why do we need motivational books in our lives?

The trust in our own powers was built since childhood, step by step, our parents being our first role models. Unfortunately, we live in an imperfect world in which parents do not spend enough time with their children in order to shape their characters and inspire in them the power to go through life. Thus the children end up dominated by insecurity, fear and especially the lack of a well-defined goal in life.

An inspiring, motivational book can help each of us live the best version of our lives, by making good decisions and finding happiness.

Mark Twain said: “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” By extrapolating, we can say that the purpose of a motivational book is reached when it makes you feel like “you, too, can become great.”

Here are some of the motivational books which can influence you and your life in a good way. I hope these self motivational books will help you as much as they helped me.

You Can Heal Your Life by Louise L. Hay

The book presents the author’s philosophy of life with examples and tips to follow.

Louise L. Hay writes in her book: “When we really love ourselves, everything in our life works.”

The author explains how the thoughts, feelings, and ideas that control a person’s life are often the causes of illness. As people age, they are more concerned about their health, but to be healthier it is not enough to change your diet but also the way you look at and accept your own life as well as your relationships with others. The way we think determines the way we live. The book is a lesson about how to live your life with joy and without resentment.

The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle

“The Power of Now” is a lesson about how you can live your moment from the present and not let yourself be dominated by the past or by the fear of the future. The author presents his conception of the path to be followed in order to achieve enlightenment.

Eckhart Tolle avoids using the word “God” because he says: Neither God nor Being nor any other word can define or explain the ineffable reality behind the word, so the only important question is whether the word is a help or a hindrance in enabling you to experience That toward which it points.

In the book, you can find advice on control and emotion analysis. The author says that they are “disorders” that can affect the body at the biochemical level. Negative emotions reduce vital energy flow and lead to disease. Identifying with the material world, with social patterns, can become a source of pain at some point in our lives. If we deny this misidentification, this leads to “salvation,” seen by the author as a release from fear, suffering or negativity.

The Healing Code by Alexander Loyd

The concept of healing presented by Alexander Loyd in his book surprised many people because it is different from the traditional medicine practices. The author shows how diseases are caused by the imbalance in the energy field of the human body. Negative memories, beliefs, and destructive habits are stored at the cellular level, and as long as they persist, health can not be improved.

In “The Healing Code”, Alexander Loyd proposes a series of exercises for the energetic rebalancing of the human body. These exercises can solve health problems, emotional and psychological problems, as the author says.

In the book, you will discover the 28 specially designed techniques that once applied will help you turn a negative situation into a positive one.

Rhonda Byrne teaches us that if you want to get something from the life you have to give first. The reading of the book will captivate you as you move from one chapter to another, so surely at the end of it, you will look at your own existence with other eyes and other perception.

How Motivational Books Can Help Us Become Better Individuals

We, as human beings, have been reading for centuries upon centuries. The benefits of reading are well documented and to this day you will still struggle to find a more enjoyable and relaxing pastime than reaching for a good book, curling up on the sofa, and diving in head first to the world that the reader has created. Reading provides the ultimate form of escapism and entertainment, yet reading can also be educational and motivational. Motivational books and self-help books are very popular amongst a wide variety of different people. From single parents to people looking to lose weight, to business CEOs looking to expand their companies, all of these people can potentially benefit hugely from reading motivational books. But just what is it about these books that makes them so beneficial? Well, let’s take a look, shall we? Here are several benefits associated with motivational books.

Motivational books inspire action

It’s easy to be laying in bed one night, thinking about losing weight and how first thing in the morning you are going to cook a healthy breakfast and head to the gym before work. At that moment in time you probably were serious, but in the morning, when your alarm goes off and you’re tired, struggling to find the time to get dressed, your motivation to exercise and lead a healthy lifestyle will have decline pretty quickly. Motivational books, however, help inspire action and spur you on to actually put your thoughts to action. Reading these books will help teach you how to put your words and thoughts into action, and will teach you how to stay motivated, even when times are tough. Whatever your goals may be, having the ability to actually act on your urges and to begin working towards making them a reality, is very important indeed.

Motivational books help generate positive thinking

Negativity is contagious, and it can easily spread from person to person, without them even saying a single word in some cases. If you’re going to help yourself and/or reach your specific goals and targets, you need to adopt a positive outlook on life. Motivational books help generate positive thinking. This is deliberate as the writers will often be sure to use words and phrases designed to instill confidence and positivity into their readers. Often, one of the main reasons why we fail to reach our goals, or worse still, why we fail to even take a chance and attempt to reach our goals, is due to the fact that negative thoughts occupy our heads and we put up mental barriers through fear of failure. The more positive an individual you are the more likely you will be to become successful, whatever your definition of success may be.

Motivational books generate happiness

Again, thanks to the fact that these books help to generate positive thinking, the more positive you are, the happier you are. Simply sitting down and reading motivational words and quotes will help trigger the release of endorphins and other hormones designed to help us feel happier and more content in life. Readers receive that much sought-after feel-good factor by reading the books, and this then shows, both within and outside. The happier you are, the better your health and your quality of life is likely to be.

I’ve suffered immense pain, long stretches of hopelessness and depression, and have lived a life unlike that of many of my peers. I spent much of my childhood in hospital, with doctors as my playmates and hospitals as my playgrounds.

my friends and family will tell you that I am one of the happiest people they’ve ever met. My secret? The hope that lives inside me. The reason behind my hope and my always smiling face are "Reading". I used to read non-fictional romantic books, motivational book. Reading internally inlighten me.

Dear Ruxandra,

I have enjoyed your positive outlook and am planning to enjoy the recipes from your website. I wanted to share that the greatest healing I have experienced in my life came from Jesus. He and his father created the world and they understand all the dynamics of balance, healing and health. I also wanted to share a website where I get daily quotes for inspiration--Dynamic Catholic.com. It is a great website for a great organization. Keep up the good work!

I love that you did a blog on this because we all need to read books like this and be reminded from time-to-time things we may already know but forgot we knew them and apply this thinking to our lives. It clears your mind, it refreshes your spirit. I always find you can't rush through these kind of books if you really want to make a change in your life and your thinking. You read a chapter, put the book down, reflect and think about what you read and then read the next chapter. I have three of the five books listed so I have two more books two buy. Thanks for sharing
